Margaret Pounder
President/CEO

With a varied background in travel management, agriculture (including an executive director position at a national association), and restaurants, it doesn’t seem like a far stretch to find myself in the position of Executive Director of the Bandon Chamber of Commerce.

Throughout our (husband Steve and myself) business lives, we have always, always belonged to a Chamber of Commerce. Investment in the Chamber ultimately helps the entire economic development process so that with a thriving vibrant community, a talented workforce is attracted along with investors, entrepreneurs, and retirees.

I truly believe in Chambers of Commerce. And I love inviting others to visit Bandon, helping our merchants and residents alike to thrive.

Sara Kimball
Secretary – 2021

As a member of the chamber board I look forward to the opportunity to give back to Bandon. We are a stronger community through partnerships and collaboration and my goal is to foster that.

I love Bandon and am excited to be raising my family in this community. We have a responsibility to do what we can to help whenever and wherever it is possible for us to help.

In addition to serving on the chamber board, I am the manager at Umpqua Bank, a member of the Bandon by the Sea Rotary Club, and serve on various other boards and committees. Thank you for the opportunity to serve Bandon and the business community.

I enjoy being involved in my community and doing my part to pursue positive momentum and growth. I’m excited to be serving on the Bandon Chamber Board because I believe it is a way that I can put my time and energy to use with other community-minded people to help the Bandon community be stronger, healthier, and happier.

I am a Financial Adviser at Edward Jones and have lived on the southern Oregon coast since 2001. My husband Adam and I have 2 kids who are active in local sports and our beautiful outdoor playground.

Tia Lawrence
Director

Member Service Representative – Rogue Credit Union

I have always had a passion for bringing people together – whether it be through family and friend gatherings or social events. I have spent many hours volunteering for several local functions, and thoroughly enjoyed getting out in the community and seeing how it really brought everyone together.

I am a small town, Southern Oregon Coast girl and I genuinely adore all that our little coast town and community has to offer. I truly want to contribute to a community that will be here to support and impact many generations to come.

As an active member of the board, it is my main focus to help bring our already thriving community together, while maintaining our small, coast town charm and history.

Makena Ojeda

Executive Director – Pacific View Assisted Living

I moved to the Bandon area seven years ago from a small coastal community in California, Los Osos in San Luis Obispo County. Moving here is the best decision I have made in my life, other than marrying my husband! I love walking my two border collies on the Bandon beaches.

I have been in the long-term care industry for 27 years, and enjoy supporting and taking care of our community’s seniors.

As Executive Director at Pacific View Assisted Living and Memory Care in Bandon, I feel we have a moral and professional responsibility to be an active member in our local community. In the role of Alzheimer’s Association Volunteer Congressional Ambassador for Congresswoman Val Hoyle, I take to the Hill every March to ensure funding for Alzheimer’s research and treatment.

Pacific Properties

I’ve always enjoyed volunteering, but it’s usually animal-related. Over the years I’ve retrained off-the track thoroughbred horses, worked with and taken home more than my fair share of rescue dogs, cats, and even a few reptiles. Professionally, I have worked as a 911 Dispatcher, escrow officer, and mortgage processor, before finally finding my true fit as a realtor. I’m excited to now have the chance to serve on the Chamber and have the opportunity to help shape the future of Bandon. I’m looking forward to being able to support our community in every way possible.

Anne McCaleb

CPA

My husband and I moved to Bandon in 2020.  I love the beaches, the fog, the rain, this beautiful town, and the wonderful people I’ve met!  I have been a CPA for 7 years and got my start in 2001 while running the business side of my husband’s construction-trades company.  I now run my practice out of my home and enjoy helping other small businesses.  I wanted to be part of, and contribute to, my new community. Since moving here, I’ve joined the Bandon-by-the-Sea Rotary, the local VFW Auxiliary, and am on the Southern Coos Health District Finance Committee.  I am looking forward to serving on the Chamber Board so I can help support and advocate for the small businesses that are a huge part of the magic of this community.

Bandon Frame & Photoworks

I am the owner of Bandon Frame and Photoworks. My husband, Mark, is the local barber. We were both born and raised in Bandon, and were very happy to raise their family here. While I love our “small town,” I can also appreciate the importance of prosperity and growth in order for our community to thrive. I look forward to this opportunity to serve Bandon and its community!
