CRANBERRY KITCHEN CONTEST INFORMATION
CELEBRATE THE CRANBERRY
A crown awaits the cook with the cranberry touch. Bring your culinary skills and whip up your best cranberry concoction to enter the Cranberry Kitchen contest at Bandon’s Annual Cranberry Festival.
The Cranberry Kitchen cooking contest is almost as old as the Cranberry Festival itself! The first “Queen of the Kitchen” was crowned the second year of the festival, in 1948.
Local Berries, Local Flavor
Cranberry cooks can find Ocean Spray products in most grocery stores. Check specialty or natural grocery stores for independent labels such as Bouncing Berry Farms and Vincent Family Cranberries.
Bandon Chamber member specialty food sellers include Face Rock Creamery, Misty Meadows, Farm & Sea, Peter’s Cranberries, and the Old Town Marketplace – our farmer’s market.
CRANBERRY KITCHEN RULES & REGISTRATION
Contestants of all ages may enter any of the seven categories shown below. Each entry must contain cranberries and must be covered with cling wrap on a disposable dish. The Festival cannot guarantee that non-disposable dishes will be returned. Bisquick and mixes are unacceptable. Canned goods must be sealed. Wine should be in full bottles, corked or capped. No entries can be items sold or marketed commercially.
