Shopping for uniquely coastal gifts? Bandon restaurants and retail shops stock cranberry-inspired products from edible goodies to home décor and accessories.

The most productive cranberry growing region in the western states is right here, in Coos and Curry counties. Local berries are harvested between September and November, and shoppers can find fresh local cranberries at farmers markets and specialty food sellers through the holidays. Fresh cranberries are best stored refrigerated or frozen, so keep a cooler handy for the drive home.

Ask about cranberry products while you browse local shops, or pick up a copy of our cranberry shopping guide at the Bandon Visitors Center.

Here are a few ideas to get you started.

Creative Cranberry

Find nature inspired jewelry by artist Michael Michaud at Second Street Gallery. Michaud’s cranberry collection (bracelets, earrings and necklaces) sparkle with cranberry colored freshwater pearls and delicate leaves in hand patinated bronze.

Bandon chefs find countless ways to present the tangy cranberry. Look for cranberries in baked goods, sandwiches and salads at Bandon Baking Company, Bandon Coffee Café and Coastal Mist

Shop Online for Edible Gifts

Some of our favorite local specialty food sellers offer locally made cranberry products with shopping available in their Bandon retail stores and online.

Cranberry Sweets sells a variety of candies, snacks and baking mixes, made locally, since 1974. Many of their treats are available for sampling in the shop.

Misty Meadows, located just south of Bandon, carries all kinds of fruit butter, jams, spreads and syrups featuring Bandon cranberries along with other Oregon-grown fruit.

Face Rock Creamery cheese selections include cranberry cheddar and fromage blanc. The creamery retail store also stocks Oregon-made treats, preserves and sauces, including Hazel’s Cranberry Catsup.
